Employer Steve Clarke today urged West Bromwich Albion to give Gareth McAuley athe agreement he deservesa as discussions over a new deal threatened to stall. McAuley, who is favourite to be crowned Baggies person of the summer season on Sunday, is in negotiations over an extension to his current deal, which will be as a result of expire in 14 months. But the talks have yet to achieve a conclusion with the frequent Northern Ireland international understood to be unhappy with the terms offered to date.
