San Jose Sharks vs. Los Angeles Kings Game 2: Live Score, Updates, Analysis

Los Angeles is 11 wins away from a Stanley Cup championship repeat. The Kings look to put another dent in that total on Thursday night at 10 p.m. ET, when Game 2 of a Western Conference semifinal showdown with San Jose takes center stage at the Staples Center.

The Sharks failed to score in the series opener, falling 2-0 on the road. Sixth-seeded San Jose swept Vancouver in the first round but couldn't contend with Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick on Tuesday.

The 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy winner stopped 35 shots to secure his second shutout victory of the postseason. Kings' center Mike Richards led the charge offensively with a goal and an assist.

Can San Jose solve Quick, who now has six career playoff shutouts? Stay tuned right here for live updates, analysis and reaction throughout the game.
