How Atlanta Hawks' 2013 Postseason Work Influences Josh Smith's Future
As is the case with many players on Danny Ferry's revamped Atlanta Hawks squad, Josh Smith's future with the team is not guaranteed when the 2013 postseason run comes to its inevitable conclusion.
And barring a miracle run through the Eastern Conference playoffs, it will indeed draw to an untimely close. Even if the Hawks somehow get by the Indiana Pacers in the opening round, it's tough to envision this overmatched squad making it through the rest of the postseason gauntlet.
That gives Smith a limited slate of games to prove his value. Given Indiana's Game 1 shellacking of the Hawks, it appears rather likely that Smoove will finish with between four and seven outings in his 2013 postseason resume.
If his sprained right ankle hinders him in any way, that already closing window grows a bit closer to being slammed shut.
Regardless of what he does during the rest of the Hawks' postseason run, Smoove is probably going to be a max-contract player. After max deals were handed out to Eric Gordon and Roy Hibbert during the 2012 offseason, it almost seems like a foregone conclusion.
Smith may be frustrating, but he's an uber-talented forward with a coveted set of skills: His athleticism is off the charts, he can run the floor far more effectively than most bigs and his defense is rather formidable when he commits himself on that end of the court.
The Oak Hill product's body and talents are conducive to earning heaps of money, even if the space between his ears often seems to hold him back.
Smith is already a rich man, thanks to the checks he's already cashed with the Hawks, but he's going to rake in the dollars even more during the upcoming offseason. Given the relative dearth of marquee 4s who will be free to pick and choose their next location come summer time, Smith is a near lock for a max contract.
More relevant than his future salary, though, is whether or not he spends the next portion of his career playing home games in Philips Arena.
Smith, who perennially finds himself on the list of All-Star snubs, has seemed to be present in trade rumors for years now. This past deadline was no different, but rumored deals involving plenty of different players, including, but not limited to, Monta Ellis, Kawhi Leonard and Evan Turner, simply never came to fruition.
However, now that Smith's free agency is looming in the not-so-distant horizon, the rumors haven't just withered away into nothingness. Instead, they've persisted throughout the second half of the 2012-13 campaign.
Mere hours after the trade dudline—sorry, corny but true—came and passed, USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt reported that it was "highly unlikely" Smith would re-sign with Atlanta. Of course, he received that information from an anonymous source, so take it for what it's worth.
"In free agency news, word is the Hawks' first priority will be to keep unrestricted free agents Josh Smith and Kyle Korver during the off-season. If it proves too costly, the Hawks will shop one (or both) in a sign-and-trade."
Atlanta will always mean a lot to Smith. He grew up in the city, does charity work there and truly seems to feel at home within the friendly confines of I-285. His hometown will certainly have an impact on his decision, but ultimately, free-agency deals are business transactions.
As soon as Danny Ferry settled into what I assume must be a comfy chair in his office, the first thing he did was start converting the Atlanta Hawks into Al Horford and Team Expiring Contract (h/t Grantland's Zach Lowe).
Within an extremely short time frame, Ferry dealt Joe Johnson and his unspeakable yearly salary to the Brooklyn Nets for a bevy of role players and...wait for it...expiring contracts. Then he did the same with Marvin Williams and the Utah Jazz.
In no time at all, the general manager had masterfully freed up tons of cap space for his first full offseason in charge of the team.
Now, the Hawks have so few players signed for the 2013-14 season that you can literally count them on one hand: Al Horford, Lou Williams, DeShawn Stevenson, Mike Scott and John Jenkins. Seriously. That's it.
Josh Smith, Devin Harris, Zaza Pachulia, Kyle Korver, Johan Petro, Dahntay Jones, Anthony Tolliver and Shelvin Mack are all unrestricted free agents. Ivan Johnson and Jeff Teague join them in the free-agency pool, but they're both of the restricted variety.
A lot will depend on the direction Ferry wants to go, but the general buzz around Atlanta is that the fanbase would like to build around the Teague-Horford duo. That would require signing the Wake Forest product to a much more exorbitant contract than his current one, though, and re-signing both Teague and Smith might be out of the financially responsible realm of possibilities.
Of course, there are the exceptions, those who would rather corral a few more years of Smith's athleticism, but the majority of Atlanta fans I've talked to seem to prefer the point guard to the forward. You can include me in Camp Teague as well.
Then again, this could all change with a few legendary postseason performances. Or even solid ones, for that matter.
The biggest knock on Smoove has always been his penchant for the long two-pointers. Somehow, someway, the forward who excels around the basket has convinced himself that he's best served hoisting up shots from the perimeter.
If you go to a Hawks game at the Highlight Factory, you'll hear a series of crowd noises whenever he lets fly from outside of the paint.
First, you hear a disappointed murmur as he rises up into the air. Then you hear a groan. There might be a cheer if he rips the ball through the net, but there will still be groans mixed in, because a make means that he's probably going to keep firing away instead of planting his backside closer to the basket.
Do you see how the only green section is right around the rim? How about the ridiculously low percentages around the perimeter coupled with the high number of attempts?
That's a textbook example of not always playing to your strengths, and I apologize for forcing such an ugly image into your consciousness. Trust me, I wish I could un-see it too.
He must prove to both Hawks fans and Ferry that he can take over a game in the most beneficial way possible. If Smith starts attacking the rim with relentless fury, makes plays instead of shot attempts when he receives the ball out near the three-point arc and gives Atlanta a better shot at beating the Pacers, he'll prove his value.
Admittedly, the sample size will be small, but any step in the right direction during the most crucial stretch of the season can pay large dividends.
The dynamic power forward didn't exactly get off to a good start in Game 1, a contest that wasn't nearly as close as the final 17-point margin indicates:
Again, he was far too fond of taking jumpers out on the perimeter. In the loss, Smith took seven shots from inside the paint, making five of them. Once he ventured outside into the more neutral-colored area of the court, he was a putrid 2-of-8.
Throughout the remaining portion of Atlanta's postseason, Smith is going to find himself in plenty of situations that mirror this one. He hasn't given opponents a reason to respect his jumper, so they don't need to bother closing out any further.
During this play—which you join in medias res, right after Smith received a desperation pass from Devin Harris, who was falling out of bounds—the forward chose to shoot. The result, much to the chagrin of Atlanta fans, was a clang of the iron.
Kyle Korver is standing in the corner, Jeff Teague at the top of the key and Al Horford in the mid-range location he's so deadly from. Driving affords Smith the opportunity to use his superior finishing skills or his above-average distributing ones to create a higher percentage play.
Once he receives it and faces up, he's in a nearly identical situation to the previous play from the first quarter. Harris is now cutting across the court instead of recovering while out of bounds, but Smith is still faced with the shoot-pass-or-drive dilemma.
With his back to the basket, Smith is able to push West back into the paint, and he eventually finishes the play with a pretty left-handed hook shot that drops through the net for two points. Once he's established himself closer to the basket, the options are diverse, and they're all more positive than a Smoove jumper that isn't exactly smooth.
As a whole, Drew's offensive system with the Hawks is fairly bland. It consists primarily of pick-and-rolls at the top of the key with a few isolation plays mixed in. All the while, the shooters run curls and expect the ball if they get open.
It's not exactly a system built to maximize Smith's talents, which makes it all the more imperative that he milk every possession for its greatest possible value.
If we see Smith settle for jumpers, the Hawks will have virtually no shot of advancing, and the forward's days in red and blue will be limited. As has been the case for a few years, there's no certainty when dealing with Smith's future, but each shot he takes from the outside is digging him a deeper and deeper hole.
This summer is bound to be a monumentally important time in the headband-wearing, shot-blocking potential superstar's life. How he handles the rest of the postseason will inevitably have a large impact.
As the hypothetical version of Hamlet who rooted for the Atlanta Hawks might say: To shoot or not to shoot, that is the question.

Dwight Howard Vows Responsibility, Thanks Lakers Supporters on Facebook
Dwight Howard is sorry. After being ejected from in the next quarter of Game 4 involving the La Lakers and San Antonio Spurs, and seeing as his Tinseltown transpired in succession with out a struggle, Howard took to Twitter to apologize. Throughout his Twitter sequence, Howard stated regretAfor his shortage, recognized he would have to be more responsible, compared himself to Charlie Sheen and talked yoga. What else can the Lakers faithful tell that besides "um, thanks?" This apology does not do any such thing. Had he truly wanted to function as individual he references to, he'd have let his play do the talking in Game 4. Instead, he ran his mouth nonstop and got thrown. Los Angeles was never going to return from that 3-0 deficit, even when Howard had remained in the game. No NBA team has ever done it, and it wasn't planning to be done with a decimated Lakers team. But that does not get this okay. What Howard did was childish, selfish and uncomfortable. In a playoff gamea'no, in a elimination game, he was sent to the locker room early. What sort of chief takes herself out of this important of a contest? Kobe Bryant could have never allow it to get that far. It does not matter if Dwight was getting destroyed down low. Complaining does nothing in the Association. After very nearly ten years of whining, Howard herself knows that. If the Lakers needed him, which will be simply inappropriate he took himself out of a casino game. And then he apologizes and says that it's his "hope" he would obtain the chance to make it up to the fanbase and organization. Last time I checked, it was Howard who had get a grip on of his future. He does not need to "hope," he could just do. La can not ask him to verbally invest in the staff for the rest of his life now. It is his right as a free of charge agent to explore his possibilities. But enough with this "hope." Howard has not made any conclusions about his future however, and per Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, he is not leaning toward any group (the Lakers involved) as he prepares for free agency: "He is going to signal a long-term deal," the origin said. "It must function as right position, the right motivation. There's no obvious alternative. The Lakers choice has durability. They've acquired a lot of championships. But at the same time, that's perhaps not where they are at any more." Do not read too much in to Howard's talk of hope and vindication. He is no more loyal to the Lakers than he's to the others of his suitors. And honestly, that's fine. Howard built no guarantees and to expect his stance to be suddenly changed by him today will be unlikely. This expression of remorse, but, is clear. Only days after he spoke of fighting and making every thing on to the floor, he quit. He did not care enough to be there for his staff. At a time when Hollywood require him most, he just quit. Callow tricks aside, the Lakers still need him. Howard continues to be their future and they'll press hard to re-sign him. And they will. He's an excellent person. They also needs to keep in mind that what they see is what they're likely to get. Following Game 4, it appears the Lakers will soon be pursuing a foundation that, until recently, has provided more apologies and damaged more claims than championships could be ever won by him. Let us "hope" that changes.
Moose Ridge Golf Course Review
While many courses in Southeastern Michigan lay claim to an "Up North" feel, Moose Ridge is one of the few that pulls it off from the first hole to the last. This Raymond Hearn design takes full advantage of the hilly, wooded terrain to create what may be the area's most interesting course.
Moose Ridge is a shot-maker's and thinker's course. Its hallmark is, I think, are three relatively short par 4s that will quickly run up your score if you're not careful. The first is one of those opens the course (photo above). From an elevated tee, you must fire a shot down into a valley between two fairway bunkers, and then up again to a tricky green. The whole affair measures just 292/355 (whites/black). The seventh is another elevated shot to a bunker-infested valley that measures 278/318. Finally, the tenth requires a tee shot across a marsh to a twisting, turning fairway. It measures 285/343. The distances on these probably are designed to lull you into a false sense of confidence. If you're not thinking, you'll get a double or worse on a hole that should play out in par.
Moose Ridge is not all short, though. The fourth is a massive 562/630 yard par 5 that wraps around a lake and finishes in a small, tucked green. I would stunned if anyone has ever made it home in two from the back. The second is a 389/425 yard par 4 that finishes with a shot up a ninety foot hill to a green on the plateau.
Then there's the evil par 3 ninth. It's a 178/193 yard shot to a narrow green that's flanked right by a wooded hill heading up and left by a wooded hill going down. I've played this course a half a dozen times and have never made par on this hole.
Overall, Moose Ridge comes in at 76,892 yards from the blacks, where it plays to a 73.2/138. From the white tees, it's 6,100 and a 69.7/128.
Best advice for this course: Play from the proper tees. You will have no fun if you let your ego get hold of your brains.
Conditions on the several occasions that I have visited have been good, with the exception of a few areas where shade from the trees makes it difficult to grow grass.
In spite of the rolling terrain, Moose Ridge is walkable. I don't think they encourage it, but I've never been denied the opportunity. Be prepared for a workout.
Pace of play has always been reasonable. My sense is that they allow a few extra minute between tee times than is usual on public courses.
Greens fees are on the high side for the area, where decent golf can usually be had for under $30 (walking). Moose Ridge is in the $50 - $60 range, depending upon the day of the week and time of day. Spring and fall rates tend to be very reasonable, though.
In addition to the excellent course, there's an equally excellent practice facility. The clubhouse, built in a rustic style is huge and with great views of the course would be a terrific place for a large event.
Try as I might, I can't find anything wrong with this course. It's one of my absolute favorites, and I make an effort to go at least once every year. I especially love to play in the fall.
Manchester United Summer Transfers: 5 Whispers Supporters Desire to Believe in
We soccer fans can be pretty naive occasionally. A tabloid, British or otherwise, links Manchester United with another top talent throughout the world every single day. It's almost a awakening not to see the Red Devils buy the players they'd been heavily tipped to signal throughout every season, when the summer comes. This year has seen no end to the typical transfer tittle tattle, with several big names yet again hyped for a go on to Old Trafford. This informative article will find to roundup the five ongoing whispers that supporters of the club want to be true. If just one were toAmaterialise, we would perhaps not protest. Isco Meant for Old Trafford Jasper Juinen/Getty Pictures Malaga's Isco has been among the true breakout stars of the summer season so far. Goals have been scored 11 by the Spanish attacking midfielder in all competitions, including three in the Champions League, however it has been his all-around genius that's captured the attention of everybody in the footballing world. Citing "Spanish reports," the Daily Star claimed late last year that Isco might quickly be tempted to United for as little asAA16 million. "Old Trafford chef Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to view the fighting midfielder as an excellent replacement for seasoned Paul Scholes," the story claims. Nevertheless with his star rising higher and higher with every passing month, this cost looks just a little small. Gareth Bale Interested in Proceed to United Michael Regan/Getty Photos Gareth Bale's presence at Manchester United's recent clash with Real Madrid at Old Trafford set tongues wagging in the news columns (via Daily Mail). Was he there to hunt his future team? Can there be secret meetings happening behind the scenes between your Welshman and United officials? OKAY, so the reply to these issues is most likely no, but that does not mean fans of the Red Devils can't reside in hope of seeing him 1 day play for Sir Alex Ferguson's side. Bale has received a barnstorming season, building right into a true all-round approaching risk at present membership Tottenham Hotspur. Along with United's own Robin van Persie and Liverpool's Luis Suarez, he's a definite front-runner in the competition for the Premier League's player of the summer season award. Kevin Strootman the Answer to Midfield Flaws Dean Mouhtaropoulos/Getty Pictures PSV's box-to-box midfielder Kevin Strootman has long been a player tipped by United fans as a possible future signing. The Dutchman could offer the Red Devils with a genuine physical existence before the back line, in addition to as an powerful conduit going forward through the center. The Sun reported in December a year ago that the Red Devils were indeed interested in buying Strootman's companies. According to the story, "United and Arsenal are battling to fully capture PSV Eindhovenas A17 million-rated midfielder Kevin Strootman." With summer fast nearing, Sir Alex should decide quickly if the player would be worth driving the boat out to sign. David Rodriguez the Next United Star? Dean Mouhtaropoulos/Getty Photographs According to a statement in the Daily Mail last month, "Manchester United scouts saw Porto and Colombia star James Rodriguez against Rio Ave on Saturday as the club ponder a moveAfor the winger." The price quoted by the tabloid is definitely an eye-wateringAA36 milliona'an amazing amount despite the player's obvious talent. Only a week ago did I write a bit extolling the virtues of Rodriguez, claiming he would be considered a ideal signing to supplement Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie in the United array. He's a fighting workhorse with ability and imagination by the bucket load. The Daily Mail believe Rodriguez may be the "new Carlos Valderrama," or the "new South American Cristiano Ronaldo" or even the "new Nani." Cristiano Ronaldo Planning House Denis Doyle/Getty Pictures Last, but definitely not least, we have the rumour that any Manchester United fan would be mad not to hope would come true. Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford in '09, but according to a few media shops, a dream go back to the club where he made his name can one day turn into a reality. Membership legend and present director Sir Bobby Charlton unmasked that the Portuguese celebrity will be welcomed straight back with open arms. Talking at theALaureus Sports Awards in Rio de Janeiro, Charlton said "Iam a fan of him like anybody else and on your own level I would like to see him back. I canat say any such thing a lot more than that" (h/t Sunlight). For now, we'll just have to keep dreaming. Is it possible to see some of these rumours coming true? Matt Scott Should Earn Spot on Jaguars' Roster for 2013
The Jacksonville Jaguars are seriously thin at the quarterback position, but Matt Scott is just the guy they need. He will not only be able to provide depth at the position, but might also potentially become a starter in the future.
According to a tweet by Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars agreed to terms with both Scott and Jordan Rodgers as undrafted free agents:
Nick Foles was the starter for the Arizona Wildcats until last season, when Scott got to start his first and only season in college. He put up solid numbers, throwing for 3,620 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while completing 60.3 percent of his passes. He also contributed in the running game, putting up 506 yards and six scores.
The Jaguars were incredibly thin at the quarterback position before signing both Scott and Rodgers, with only two quarterbacks. Neither Blaine Gabbert nor Chad Henne has been great, and the team is looking for a franchise quarterback to make it relevant.
At 6'2'' and 213 pounds, Scott has decent size for an NFL quarterback. He has decent arm strength and has a solid release. He can seriously fling it in tight windows with some line-drive passes, especially at the intermediate level.
What makes Scott stand out, however, is his mobility. He is able to escape the pocket when pressured and is very elusive. He does a great job making accurate throws when rolling out on either side of the field.
Despite decent size, Scott is a little thin. He sometimes overthrew receivers, particularly on fade routes. He also struggles going through his reads as a quarterback and can lock in on one receiver.
What would be even more interesting is to see how the offense would change with him as the starter. He could be a quarterback who could legitimately run the read-option, and the Jaguars now have some players like Maurice Jones-Drew and even Denard Robinson to play in the backfield. Since the mediocre play of Gabbert and Henne doesn't seem to be working, a wild card like Scott could make some big plays for this team.
Scott is a must-have for the Jaguars. They clearly need more depth at the position, and Scott is a different type of player than Henne or Gabbert. He has the mobility to be a dual-threat quarterback and the accuracy to make plays.

Tottenham Transfers: 5 Midfielders AVB Might Target Come July 1st
With four matches left for Tottenham to break right into the Premier League's top four and book their place in next season's Champions League, it's quite clear for followers of the north London club to be focused on the run-in and its possible effects on the future at White Hart Lane. But, the summer exchange window can be pending on the not-so-distant horizon. Whether or not Spurs find a way into the Champions League, this summer's exchange task is sure to be exciting for the team. With many spaces to fill and shakeups to be manufactured, a great deal is riding on the decisions boss Andre Villas-Boas is likely to make come August. There's also the probability of Tottenham creating a few interesting movements in the midfield, while the clear place the team will need to address reaches striker. After last summer's shift deficits of Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart, Spurs have struggled to find that innovative spark that the two had brought, especially through the heart of the midfield. The membership did include plenty of bodies in the midfield since losing these two, such as for instance Clint Dempsey, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Moussa Dembele and Lewis Holtby, giving them plenty of choices in the middle of the park. However, it'd perhaps not be surprising to see AVB look for a creative mastermind this summer and put yet another midfielder to Spurs' rates. So must Tottenham followers be cautious about this summer as their membership appears to crash the transfer market? what midfielders Listed below are five midfielders Spurs may check out register August.

Undrafted NFL Free Agents 2013: Where Marquee Stars Landed After Draft
After seven rounds of the 2013 NFL draft, there were still more than a few marquee undrafted free agents left on the board, but the top teams in the league wasted no time, signing them almost immediately.
All of the following players were stars in the college ranks, and after being passed on during the draft, each will take the opportunity with their new team to prove their worth to the NFL and the teams that passed on them.
After racking up an impressive 3,561 total yards and 39 total touchdowns in 2012, Kansas State dual-threat quarterback Collin Klein went undrafted in 2013.
Despite not hearing his name during the NFL draft, Klein has the raw talent and the winning attitude to be a positive addition to any team in the league. While there is undoubtedly a risk leaving him at QB, the Texans have decided to take the gamble with the K-State star.
With a limited ceiling as a quarterback, Klein will likely be entering the NFL as another Tim Tebow-esque player that would be better suited as a fullback, tight end or special teams ace.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had one of the most potent rushing attacks in the nation over the last few seasons, and one of the reasons the program was so dangerous was the elite play of running back Cierre Wood.
Even with limited touches during his career at Notre Dame, Wood announced via his Twitter account that the Houston Texans came calling as soon as the draft was over and signed the undrafted free agent:
While 742 rushing yards (6.5 per carry) and four touchdowns in 2012 doesn't sound too impressive on paper, Wood split time with another back (Theo Riddick) and a running quarterback (Everett Golson).
Wood may not have the elite top-end or lateral speed most running backs in the NFL possess, but his size (5'11" and 213 pounds) and vision will make him the natural fit as the Texans' backup RB in their zone-blocking schemes.
One of the biggest wild cards in the 2013 draft was Tennessee quarterback prospect Tyler Bray and when he would end up being selected. After going seven rounds without hearing his name, Bray was one of the top stars to go undrafted.
Bray may not have been selected, but he was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs soon after the draft was completed, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter:
Not only is Bray off the charts physically (6'6" and 232 pounds), but also the Volunteers starter amassed an impressive 3,612 yards passing, 34 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2012.
While there were obvious flaws in his game at times (inconsistent accuracy and trouble reading defenses), this much raw talent at quarterback was not going to be a free agent long.

Stars fireplace GM Joe Nieuwendyk after 4 conditions
Texas (AP) a The Dallas Stars fired normal supervisor Joe Nieuwendyk on Sunday after four times, two instructors and no playoff appearances. The dismissal came your day after a 22-22-4 season was completed by Dallas. The Stars missed the playoffs for the sixth time in a line. Manager Tom Gaglardi said in a record that Nieuwendyk showed the Stars "extremely well" and "helped put items in this team that will be again turned by place once into a contender." He added, but, the group must go "in an alternative course with your goals set on time for the elite" of the NHL. The team would be to announce its new GM on Monday. While the Stars haven't said who it is, Gaglardi is "confident we have discovered the right general manager to return us to the pathway of success." The staff has declined to touch upon reports that Jim Nill, Detroit's original secretary GM, can get the work. The ongoing future of instructor Glen Gulutzan was not resolved by the staff in its statement. Texas contains an option for a season for Gulutzan, who is 64-57-9 in his two seasons after ending the lockout-shortened season with a 3-0 property loss to Detroit. The Stars dropped their last five games and won only once inside their last eight following a five-game winning streak. When asked about his work after Saturday night's sport, Gulutzan said that was not under his control. He did praise Nieuwendyk. "All I could say is that Joe's been huge for me. I do believe he's done a of a job," Gulutzan said. "You could see with the young people and our village staff that individuals have here." As a person in Dallas, Nieuwendyk won the Conn Smythe Award as playoff MVP in 1999 if the Stars won their only Stanley Cup. When used by Nieuwendyk couple of years before to displace the shot Marc Crawford, the 41-year-old Gulutzan had never trained in the NHL. Gulutzan was a successful minor league coach. Crawford was employed following Dave Tippett's shooting in 2009, after the Stars missed the playoffs a year after which makes it to the Western Conference finals. Tippett later that year changed Wayne Gretzky as instructor in Phoenix and light emitting diode the Coyotes to the playoffs. He was recognized as the league's top coach. The Stars were not expunged from the playoff pursuit until Thursday night. They stayed in postseason contention despite original leader Brenden Morrow was dealt, a week before 41-year-old points leader Jaromir Jagr and Derek Roy were given at the trading deadline. Texas got a few young players and extra draft picks in these deals. Within days after Jagr and Roy were dealt, the Stars continued a five-game winning streak. His no-trade clause was waived by morrow to go to the playoffs were entered by Pittsburgh, which whilst the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Morrow's rookie season in Dallas was 1999-2000, if the Stars were the Stanley Cup runner-up per year after their name.

Paper Round: Brendan Rodgers for Manchester Town? - Yahoo! Eurosport UK (website)
In another of the more extraordinary items of Sunday speculation, the Sunday People declare that Manchester City will be looking at hiring Brendan Rodgers. Never mind which they already have a director a Roberto Mancini a' person who has already acquired a League and FA Cup name during his tenure and is 90 minutes against Wigan far from bagging another prize. The report says second invest the very best flight only isnat good enough any longer, and accordingly they're looking elsewhere for an employer. Rodgers, despite maybe not persuading every one in his first period at Liverpool, is really a popular choice at the Etihad, where his awillingness to blood young participants early, media skills, and European knowledge a' and the star in his group is he is proficient in both English and Spanisha are highly prized. The fact that the 40-year-old is under contract at Anfield would not be a for Cityas owners, who obviously had him high on their candidate for the job the final time Mancini appeared to be on his solution. Also on the wish-list for City is yet another one-time Liverpool manager a' Rafa Benitez. And where Rodgers may possibly believe he still has unfinished business with the Reds, Benitez will be out of a job in the summer and itching to go on from Chelsea. As always with exchange speculation, but, much is dependent upon what paper you read. If The Sun is read by you today, youall get the topic aMancini staysa. Even dropping the FA Cup closing wonat cost him his job, the statement claims, because heas actually created a wholesome relationship with former Barcelona executives Ferran Soriano and sporting director Txiki Begiristain, and planning for next season is well underway. That planning carries a transfer for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, say the Sunday Mirror, who're not afraid to trigger the Uruguayanas A52m buy-out condition and pay his A250,000-a-week wages to carry him to the Premier League. Begiristain and Soriano have already endorsed the move, apparently, as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid also consider signing the 26-year-old. The report adds that Kyriakos Papadopoulos, the Greece global opponent presently at Schalke, is also set to become listed on in the summer, while City are also prepared to signal Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund. Far from City, and Manchester United supervisor Sir Alex Ferguson has been coy about a move for man of the minute Robert Lewandowski. The Sunday Mirror say he didnat exclude a shift for the striker when questioned about him, which in paper talk is apparently the exact same as giving a four-year option to him. (Sunday Mirror) Meanwhile Bayern Munich are giving up hope of landing Lewandowski, and are turning their focus on Luis Suarez of Liverpool. (Sunday Telegraph) Liverpool will complete the Suarez space (whether itas momentary because of his ban, or lasting because of a move), with Loic Remy, who could be swiftly out of soon-to-be-relegated QPR for a price of A8m. (Sunday Express). And ultimately, the Mail on Sunday links Tottenham with a striker a' apparently Valenciaas Roberto Soldado is on the summertime shopping list as Spurs look to put their goal-scoring problems in it.

WWE Spoiler: Retired World Winner May Be Involved in WrestleMania Deal
WrestleMania XXIX is only 2-3 weeks away. With several of the fits being rematches, the WWE may have found a way to inject some enthusiasm. After all, WrestleMania must be the place where lovers are left using their jaws spacious, where activities in the band wouldn't occur somewhere else. WrestlingInc.com is revealing that WWE creative came to a determination on the session between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. The current concept involves involving another former world champion. The article states: The present strategy is forATriple HAto defeatABrock LesnarAat WrestleMania 29. The impression is that he must win because Lesnar beat him initially, "broke his arm" twice and brokeAShawn Michaels' arm as well. There's been talk of using Michaels in the storyline again so Michaels might have a WrestleMania role. It is a fun growth. With Triple H being more of an organization man now, it would not be surprising to see him lose. Lesnar is signed for two more years of competition, while Triple H isn't confirmed for any more fits after WrestleMania (as of yet). He could allow Lesnar continue on a hot streak and get the feud. Image by WWE.com On the flip side, there is not surprising that Triple H might succeed in gaining vengeance against Lesnar. It seems sensible storyline-wise for the face to have the gain after having his arm broken twice and losing a high-profile bout at SummerSlam. What really makes this round glow may be the possible addition of Michaels. The Showstopper has seldom been seen on television since Lesnar broke his arm in August of 2012. It's doubtful the WWE would have him return for the premise and not try the fit. Having him go back to WrestleMania could carry an amount of enthusiasm to WrestleMania it desperately needs. Michaels includes a history of earning history at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania X he confronted Razor Ramon in the event's first ladder match for the Intercontinental title. At WrestleMania XII he confronted Bret Hart in an Iron Match that had to go into overtime to determine a winner. Up next was WrestleMania 23, where he took John Cena to the limit. Ultimately, at WrestleMania XXIV he finished the career of Ric Flair. This is not to express that Triple H and Lesnar won't have a good match; they'll have a fantastic fit. Their backstory, in conjunction with the revenge theme, makes for good storytelling. But putting Michaels back to the combination is what offers it. WWE.com poses this question about Michaels: Ask any Superstar on the WWE lineup who the most skilled sports-entertainer of them all is and almost everybody will have the same answera'Shawn Michaels. It's unclear what his position could be, but when WWE innovative wants his engagement at WrestleMania, it can only be considered a win-win situation. He is Hall of Famer who won every name available to him during his career.

Wigan: Could the Definite Relegation Candidates Survive the Premier League Decline?
Bone china dishes and spun cups, if the Premier League were a dining-room dining table, then Manchester United, Chelsea and Man City will be the silver items. Wigan Athletic will be the place mats. Unfashionable however fundamental, small Wigan is currently a part of the Premier League furniture. The table could be spoiled, In case a place mat were not on the table. For lovers of the plucky underdog, If Wigan were directed from the very best category, it also would be indulged. It is a familiar situation. Wigan would be the archetypal brawlers, the backs-against-the-door vendors. From the time they joined the Premier League in the 2005-06 year, Wigan have already been on a side and a prayer. With among the smallest operating budgets and the smallest average attendance in the division, their unfashionable squad shouldn't be there. Avoiding this season to relegation could secure a ninth subsequent Premier League season for a group who lived in the last level as recently as 1995. Present Latics Chairman Dave Whelan took get a grip on of the club in '95 and was ridiculed for his vision of guiding the club into the Premier League. A succession of astute decisions and shrewd managerial meetings have achieved a reality that should not have been possible. Again and time, Wigan have looked to be losing contact going into the business end of the season, simply to create a magnificent revival and defy logic once more. Whether they can do it again, but, may be the A90 million issue. Group Played Purpose Huge difference Details Southampton 29 -12 28 Aston Apartment 29 -26 27 Wigan 28 -22 24 Reading 29 -21 23 QPR 29 -21 23 Wigan, currently moving into 18th place in the category, need to capture one of the clubs above them to keep up. Currently three points behind 17th-place Aston Villa but with a game at hand, the job is onerous. To determine the Latics' odds you need to review the competitors to replace them in the drop zone. A comparison of the remaining features, combined with a listing of the quality, present type and morale of the squad must provide an answer to the problem. Then, obviously, you've to factor in Wiganas predictable unpredictability... Of the rest of the fittings, QPR possibly gets the most interesting work. With an array of groups scrapping around them still to play, The Hoops haven't any significantly less than three "six-point games." Yet this really is mitigated by QPRas stunning not enough form. With the list they possess, they should not maintain this situation, and although an improvement has been seen by them under Harry Redknapp, I cannot help but feel it is too little, too late. Another best work in is Wiganas own. With an extra game to play over their relegation rivals, Wigan have the blissful luxury of knowing that survival remains essentially inside their hands. With a host of winnable games contrary to the likes of Norwich, Swansea, West Brom, QPR and Villa, their knowledge with the relegation combat may prove pivotal. Studying, following illogical sacking of manager Brian McDermott this week, look destined. With the work in of the relegation competitors, including away days to Manchester United and Arsenal, a group this short on confidence should really be fodder. With McDermott, Reading might have stood a, but with such needless difficulty so near the end of the season, success now will be a miracle. Having an unprecedented small group, wonderful away victories (somewhat at Liverpool) have been nullified by activities of abject mediocrity. With it may prove essential a comparatively hard work in, Aston Villaas last-day fitting against Wigan looks. Of the underside five, Southampton have performed the absolute most consistently this year. Without a really decorated team in the QPR mildew, Southampton have worked with what they have to produce a number of scintillating activities, described by last month's disintegration of Champions Manchester City. Former Middle Tennessee Kicker Alan Gendreau Is Trying To Become The First Openly Gay NFL Player
There has never been a publicly, openly gay, active player in the NFL or Division I college football. But former Middle Tennessee State kicker Alan Gendreau was out of the closet to his teammates while playing, and he recently disclosed his story to Cyd Zeigler of Outsports.com. Gendreau finished his college career in 2011, but he is trying to make it in the NFL, this season. He looked to have a good shot after his junior season, but then dropped off his senior season. He can't be drafted (and probably wouldn't have been anyway), but he hopes get an OTA invite and make a team. This Norwegian YouTube dude got a contract, so it's not at all farfetched for a guy who was legitimately good in college.
Be sure to read the entire story over at OutSports; it's worth your time. Interestingly enough, OutSports published his story back in 2009, though it was anonymous. There's also a video.
So, he didn't have any problems in college. That doesn't ensure a comfortable environment for a gay NFLer, but it's encouraging. OutSports also addressed the obvious kicker stereotypes that will come up.
Like a lesbian basketball player, a gay kicker plays to a stereotype. In a sport defined by hard hits and toughness, only on rare occasions — if there's a broken play — does the kicker hit or get hit. Bill Gramática famously ended his 2001 season with a torn ACL after simply jumping to celebrate a field goal for the Arizona Cardinals.
If a borderline NFL kicking talent can sustain a comfortable career while being openly gay, then it's unlikely others will have problems. And once one domino falls, however many other dominos are hiding will start to feel comfortable, themselves. Now, he's just got to convince a team he's good enough. We'll be cheering him on.

SC_DougFarrar Dion Jordan's unique skill set makes an NFL comp tough, but I wonder if I'm not looking at a new version of Ted Hendricks. Total one-off.
Zach Harper If the Mike Brown news is legit, I'm good with the hiring. He and Kyrie will probably get along. Also, not a bad coach.

Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson simply in a league of his own - The Guardian (blog)
It was Bill Shankly who said football is a simple game that people would be well advised not to make complicated and perhaps in that spirit Sir Alex Ferguson has just revealed the secret of his phenomenal success. "At a club like Manchester United there's an expectation to live up to," Ferguson said. "You really need to win all the time and that's all there is to it."
Ferguson has implemented that strategy so well that by rights the guard of honour at the Emirates on Sunday should be solely for his benefit since, with 13 English titles to his name, the United manager has just equalled Arsenal's all-time haul, amassed over nine decades dating back to Herbert Chapman and including the not inconsiderable contributions of Arsène Wenger and George Graham.
As Arsenal are the third most successful club in English league history, with only Manchester United and Liverpool placed above them, that bare fact alone stands as a testament to the unprecedented scale of what Ferguson has achieved. Some of the most lauded and revered managers in the game have finished on top of the pile on only two or three occasions – Shankly, Brian Clough and Bill Nicholson, to pick three hugely iconic figures, managed six titles between them – while Ferguson long ago moved out of the shadow of his nearest modern challengers in Bob Paisley (six) and Matt Busby (five).
It is hard to believe now but, when Ferguson arrived at Old Trafford in 1986, those five Busby titles formed the bulk of United's somewhat puny total of seven league championships. Liverpool's total 27 years ago stood at 16 and would rise to 18 before United could commence the knocking-off-the-perch exercise, yet once that process was under way another indication of its thoroughness is that the Anfield record has remained unchanged, a fossil set in the upper strata of pre-Premier League stone. At risk of causing more pain than is strictly necessary to the Merseyside end of the great north-west rivalry, it ought to be acknowledged that were Ferguson a slightly younger man he could soon be looking at reeling in Liverpool's all-time record in exactly the same way as he has managed to match Arsenal's. At his present rate of accumulation it might take only another decade.
That, one trusts, is fantasy, yet for one manager to accomplish in just over 20 years what the country's leading clubs have stacked up in more than a century of existence is already in the realms of the seriously improbable. His achievements are more remarkable for taking place against a backdrop of huge financial uncertainty at home, with the Glazer takeover loading the club with barely controllable levels of debt, at a time when rivals such as Chelsea and Manchester City were making giant strides through finding backers of unimaginable wealth. No one could say English football has been uncompetitive during Ferguson's reign, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all reaching European Cup finals and the neighbours becoming noisy for the first time in 40-odd years, though what appears to have worked in United's favour is the top-four scenario, whereby more or less the same teams challenge for the elite places each season and at least two end up dropping out of the title race to concentrate on securing their Champions League status.
What United do these days to win their titles is not wait until the 96th minute to score a winner against Sheffield Wednesday, or reduce Kevin Keegan to a gibbering wreck on live television, but identify their main rivals, match them up and play the long game. Ferguson's own longevity has made them adept at that. It is possible that José Mourinho would have given him more of a run for his money by staying a few more seasons at Chelsea, though it is important to remember that United had already re-established themselves as champions by getting off to a flying start in the 2006-07 season and were part of the reason the pressure built up at Stamford Bridge a few months later. That three-year hiatus in the middle of the last decade is the longest United have had to wait for a Premier League trophy, which is one reason Ferguson is rarely said to be under pressure from fans.
He has had his critics from time to time and even been accused of losing the plot but he has yet to lose his eye for a player or his appetite for success. Adding a league title to the honours board every other season or so tends to drown out dissenting voices, not to mention appealing to the inner child of transfer targets such as Robin van Persie.
If there is a secret, apart from the unique castle of control he has built around himself, it could be a flexibility rare in one who has spent most of his working career being proved spectacularly right. Even now he does not believe he has seen it all, refuses to become set in his ways and is endlessly willing to learn. "You have to, the competition is much more severe now," Ferguson said. "I think what is important is to always keep looking forward rather than looking back."
The United manager might not have put himself in line for any talent-spotting awards by signing Van Persie to make the difference this season, though significantly what he did do was break his own guideline about the preferred age of incoming players, hand over a serious amount of money to a major rival for a 29-year-old with a record of injuries and not give two hoots what impact the new acquisition would have on Wayne Rooney. Something needed to change, so Ferguson adapted and changed it. Not every manager would have done the same but the whole point about Ferguson is that he is not just any old manager. He is old all right but still bold and possibly getting bolder. He could keep this show on the road for quite a while yet.
Most readily useful bets: Prepare to be under-whelmed when Arsenal welcome straight back Robin van... - Mirror.co.uk
The Sunday Mirror's betting author provides analysis and tricks for today's Premier League matches, including Manchester United at the Emirates It looks like awho cares winsa in the Premier League today (Sunday). Six groups, and I think thereas only one certain to be all-in. But Arsenal are only too skinny at 5/4 to beat Manchester United at home. The stats stage hard at aunder 2.5 goalsa at 23/20 (VCBet). Robin van Persie is fascinating at 8/1 for man of the match. Thatas a day to day value for almost any star striker, however the extra homecoming hype means heas the official no-brainer in waiting. Any half-decent performance should do, until he bites some body. And even then it would probably have to be a puppy in a wheelchair. And mind need to draw blood. If we knew the actual Swansea were arriving at Chelsea, the 10/1 would be major. Skybetas 20/1 ano goalscorera remains eyecatching - the areal Swansa might rate a 10/1 quote in my own book. Nibble it, and have the standout 10/11 (Paddy Power) that the initial fit goal is scored beyond 22 minutes. Reading welcome QPR in the plughole Community Shield. The drawas the shout at 5/2 in the event that you must. LAST WEEK: Winner at 13/8

Steven Taylor: Alan Pardew can lead Newcastle United to a brighter future - ChronicleLive
Steven Taylor is backing Alan Pardew to lead Newcastle United away from Premier League danger – then on to bigger and better things next season.
Pardew has come under fire from some United fans via social networking and fan message boards in the last fortnight. Those grievances have not been made vocal at games since the 2-1 defeat against Reading back in January, however.
And Taylor has urged Geordie fans to put aside their discontent on Saturday night when United take on Liverpool, and help the team make a huge leap towards Premier League survival.
The Whitley Bay lad told the Chronicle ahead of the encounter with the Reds: "We want these three points so bad, and hopefully that'll happen on Saturday.
"The confidence is there, and we need everyone behind us until the end of the season. The staff and players are together, wanting to do well."
He said: "We have to accept the criticism when it comes our way. After the Fulham game, everyone was happy, we saw that.
But Taylor says that United now have to forget about the past, adding: "It (Saturday's game) is a big one. The main thing is that it's at St James'.
"I hope the atmosphere is electric. The fans have got to raise the roof, and we've got to get after them and test them.
"We've got to get in their faces. If we put the commitment in we did (against West Brom), I think we can get a result.
"The fans were great (at the Hawthorns). Even when it was 1-1, and we had to defend, they were with us. They were always behind us.
Taylor is very much one of the senior figures these days at United and after surviving at the club in 2009 following relegation, he believes he is stronger for it.
Meanwhile, the Chronicle understands that part of United's summer review may include the addition of a junior member to the coaching staff.
Pardew will continue to lean heavily on Geordie assistant manager John Carver and first-team coach Steve Stone with the senior players.
The Newcastle boss previously had Sunderland-born former United midfielder Kevin Dillon on his staff at Reading and has respect for another ex-colleague in Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson.
But such an appointment isn't expected and it was only last season that Pardew described Carver as "the best signing he'd made" at Newcastle.
Carver retains a fantastic bond with Toon fans, not to mention him being the main link between the current Newcastle set-up and that of Sir Bobby Robson.

Fan's thoughts and image gallery: Enzo Maresca - Birmingham Mail
Though exploring the Birmingham Mail records the other day I came across a picture of former Baggies midfielder Enzo Maresca. The Italian made his senior introduction for West Bromwich Albion and enjoyed for two seasons for the club. He joined them on a totally free transfer and at the end of his time at The Hawthorns he moved for a substantial fee to Juventus. I remember him being held in high respect by the Baggies supporters so I chose to ask you all what you thought of him. As you can view below, thanks everyone the outcome were quite overwhelming. Take your own time to truly have a look straight back at some great pictures... Enzo Maresca Steven Paolo Wilkes My mom when out with him for some time when he was with us mother being italian prob made him feel more at home.... top bloke top player x Daniel Taylor Adi There is a boost from the past. I believe he was probably too good for us during the time, he could have been a premiership player. Andy Lakin Slow but ability complete Nathan Butler great contact and recognition, one of many few features throughout an otherwise poor period in our history Brian Watson quality person. saw him perform for malaga last summer also Kev Millard Still remember his speech when he left I will return one day arrivaderchi or however u spell it I hope he keeps his word and does return Pete Lakin He was a delight to view and went past participants so simple considering he was a bit over weight Lynden Small GOOD player true albion story shud never have left Karl Latham Short stay at the club, natural but skilled. Did not fulfill his potential even with European benefits. Martyn Todd A treasure of a find, added a needed touch of class and imagination to a group who desperately needed that innovative Stephen Harris Loved him at the Albion when I was growing up! West Bromwich Albion v Crewe: Enzo Maresca tussles with Rodney Jack. Alan Baggie Williams Very good person. Mark Wba Evans Certainly one of my fave people ever. He was quality Dodge Dhanda Made us a neat profit, hence helping us to get where we are today as i membership i would prefer to think Nick Nicolaou Fantastic!!! David McNaney A really sophisticated person in a poor staff during the time. Adam Penn Probably our most important signing actually, while it was not known by us until after he left. Steven Mountain One of the most skillfull people I've ever seen, even as such a small baby. If he'd have had only an extra half a yard pace might have been amazing Jack Willetts Was not seen enough due to his age and our problem during the time. Scored a at Palace and at 18 it was apparent he was class- was strange we were joined by him as he was rated in Italy also. Matt Graham One of the best players we had in the very dismal days of the 1990s. A player of enormous quality and ability at 18, and definitely the most skilled in the team at the time. Couldn't believe someone that good reached the Albion, and was then later sold t...See More Maureen Clark Whenever we were teetering on the edge of ruin his sales and that of the monster saved us. Thanks Enzo. John Clark A chain reaction was started by his sale where we are now to get us Modsand Sods top act....would have been great to have him now.. Darren Support ever enduring memory was Palace away about 99/00 ish..Hughes scored 1st and remember arranging with my companion if Maresca scored we were off to soho and what happened...SCREEEAMER..!! Course act in a typical side but wouldve fitted in any Abion side over t...See More John Cremin It would seem he is really a kind, having been with nine clubs in fourteen years! Graham David He was never going to help us get anywhere and I never was never really excited by him because we were in a state. Struggling participants were more essential in those days. Patrick Hayward He was a competent midfielder. Held great specialized qualities. Unfortuitously, under our chairman at that time, Tony Hale, Albion were losing A30,000 weekly. We'd to sell him and Kevin Kilbane to prevent a precarious finances. We got very good money for him. Nick 'Nicko' Astbury Ticked all the boxes for anyone so young, nearly rejoined us a few times straight back i believe... but we got Valero instead... nuf said on that West Bromwich Albion v QPR in 1999: Enzo Maresca assumes on Stuart Wardley. Mark Daniel The first game is remembered by me at the hawthorns after he left, a letter was read out that he'd written thanking all of us for supporting him during his time at the Albion, nice touch from this type of young player Richard Gibson amazing person among my faves in the nineties Jonathan John Forrester My greatest memory of him is how by selling him it enabled the revolution to be begun by us Kristian Green His quality was proven by his career after us. The lad was a act and made every other player on the park look unhealthy. If only we had him now. Frank Henson He was a square peg in a round hole at the time but good to view, it was nice to see him get man of the match for Sevilla years later along with his two aims against Middlesborough (I think) in the Uefa Cup Final 2007. Joe Mangan A ray of sunlight in a dark period under Brian Little. Often appeared a class above the rest of the medial side, even Sneekes Jack Simms My first season increasing he was there quality player gutted when he left wouldnt mind him right back! Served us combine in championship when we were dog waste which finally resulted in where we're now us being. Got good money for him too Advertising Polito He was quality a lot better than his partner Mario bortalazzi! Lol Dominic Mountain He was fantastic. I ray of sunshine throughout a dismal and grey time for the team. We'd a group high in unmotivated, journeyman footballers and then suddenly in this sea of dross seemed an intelligent, skilled footballer with technique and style...See More Glen Hillsmith I remember staying at the McAlpine/Galpharm/( whatsoever Huddersfield were calling it in the past), on what I think was his total debut. As an 18/19-year-old, Enzo positively ran the show, and permitted Albion to gain 3-0 at a previously unbeaten-at-home Terriers outfit. Had great qualities except a garden of rate. Forza Enzo. Daniel Hisgett Even today he is still the only name I have ever endured on the back of an Albion clothing, it's just a shame he left in ab muscles next transfer screen. I do not know whether or not the signings were related, but I usually though Mario Bortolazzi must have been a big cause for him joining us and for some I am now remembering a friendly at Halesowen Town, no question he left for Juventus. Cathy 'Mosher' Foster He was as some one who'd go on to bigger and better things an outstanding player who stood out. I'm convinced it got to the point where her got man of the match nearly every week. His soccer mind was nearly too much for the players around him,...See More Ali Bray would say he was certainly one of my all time favourite Albion players... I actually bought a superman tshirt to wear under my shirt though playing because of him, still wear it for this day!! ENZO MARESCA!! Richard 'Simo' Sims A great person that found himself really bad albion part right back then....good for the chairmans wallet tho....signed for free offered for A5m. West Bromwich Albion v Sheffield United in 1999: Enzo Maresca scores a goal. Carly Leanne Siniarski Loved him, one of my fave participants in my middle teens. Christiaan Wallett Like Sneekes, before his time in the group he was in. Saw things that no-one else would, not even his own team mates. Nic WoodwardA breath of oxygen at that time and bringing hope of better times and activity. #enzo Ray Allden Complete class work. Couldn't believe the idiot Brian Little not playing him. The money renewed WBA, when sold. Good player. mark brookes how on the planet did we get him?? It absolutely was the first shoots of positive ambition by the club... KevSmith IMO Enzo was the saviour of WBA he stepped in as young Italian under 21 leader cost nothin sold for a then enormous A4.5m David Harrison Good small talent in an exceedingly poor part. We made plenty of cash out of him jason phillips graceful, gifted, right player for membership at the income maker, discount and wrong time - sums up the #WBA mentalityA #wellrunclub Tim WakemanA he was very talented but lacked that rush of rate that would have made him top notch as his failure e Juve proved tomA Stood out also at his age,raw but we knew his ability was way above wba at the time, prem was miles away. Norwich v West Bromwich Albion in 1999: Enzo Maresca gets from Darel Russell. andy marsh Good young person his purchase enabled.club to signal Santos butler clement and Taylor again Denis johnson signing Craig HarrisonA perhaps the best creative midfielder I have ever seen play for us, a pleasure to watch regrettably before us at the time Stuart Walker Next bryan robson.Close contact and dribbles.Vision. Superman t-shirt. Mario bortilazzi. And all thanks to.... Dennis smith David McCreedy The club was probably set by his sale off in the best direction for where they are today. He was worth it of the payment also. Lee Goode Where he ran the show won mother he was with his parents spoke little English felt afraid I met him after the Oxford game Hero. 1st player I saw at wba with this amount of skill. When I play 5-a-side I still wear a superman t under my shirt. Mary BettamA he was a class above in an age of very regular players. The duck style celebration is remembered by always. #wba #westbrom Henry Wooding Enzo offered a reason to WBA fans to be cheerful when there is little to cheer. He helped us to believe we were still a big team Robert hoult A he seemed so comfortable and relaxed on the ball and his eyesight, when you saw him play was way beyond his years. Baggie_RussA such an ability at such a new age, probably also beneficial to us at the time, what value to possess him in the current team? Chris Bateman Too great for us during the time, like offering a fine wine in Burgerking. #wba #westbrom
