Ok individuals, letas take to an experiment here. Could we have a rational discussion about this story without it devolving into private attacks, partisan bickering, conspiracy theories and different interwebz absurdity? Most likely not, but oh well. Here's a meeting Jonathan Papelbon, recent Phillies sooner, did with the Boston press recently concerning the Boston Marathon. Papelbonas opinion is of note used to call home near the site of the bombings and when he used to perform for the Red Sox. He was asked if, as an important league baseball player in this age and day, he feels comfortable playing before large crowds. Here was his reaction (via 700Level.com ): Itas a pity, because he went on to express some great reasons for having Boston and reflection on his time there. Today, hereas where the experiment comes in: Could all of us agree, regardless of your take on gun control, that aObama getting our gunsa (whicha okay, right, sorry, I wonat get into it) was entirely unrelated to the topic at hand? That the supply (or lack thereof) of firearms had nothing related to the bombings occurring? And that, eventually, the opinion was a needless political dig? Must aObama taking our gunsa be associated with the acrazya issues going on in the entire world? What would you think? [Deadspin]
