With Ottawa as her adopted hometown, the 2013 IIHF Womenas Worlds is a unique experience for Sara Seiler. The opportunity to signify her homeland Germany in her 2nd home will be a loved one, aI am very excited. I positively enjoy it. I've experienced Ottawa for pretty much seven years. This is my second hometown and I am very excited.a Seiler is quite proud of the way the tournament have been embraced by the city of Ottawa. aFor certain. For all of us, it is often very particular to play in Canada. The whole function is bigger in Canada than elsewhere. Tennis is number 1 in Canada and it is interesting to play here. It is always a for a German player ahead and enjoy for a championship here.a Just before visiting Ottawa, Seiler produced her Winter Olympic Games introduction at the 2006 Torino Games. The function is one of her job highlights, aDefinitely. I would say every athleteas purpose is to go to the Olympics. It had been very special for us as a group to get there. It had been just amazing. There have been therefore many good athletes in our game competing for medals.a As the German squad has qualified to contend at the Sochi Games in 2014, Seiler would love to represent Germany for a second time on the worldas biggest point. aI hope I will make the team. It's a very good opportunity.a After Torino, Seiler stumbled on Canada and her decision was inspired by one key aspect, aHockey mostly. I was trying to find new issues following the 2006 Olympics. I arrived in Canada in August 2006 for the 2006-07 time, and played in the National Womenas Hockey League.a The decision to choose Ottawa over another town was predicated on an answer, aI wrote to several clubs in Canada and the United States. The Ottawa Raiders answered quickly and these were helpful and very serious. I also sent them a couple of baseball spotlight movies. I simply really loved their manager and instructor, Peter Lefebvre and Ronald Duguay. I am very grateful in their mind for this day.a Fighting for the Ottawa Raiders and the ability to take part in the former NWHL, at the very top womenas category, was a fantastic one. A lot was benefited by ai. It was good, and an amount of hockey that was extra good. There were therefore many good athletes. A very good experience.a The knowledge of playing in a new country was made easier by her teammates, aEvery player on the Ottawa staff was very useful and very good. They made a whole lot easier.a to the change With acumen and great maturity, Seiler is also trying to the near future, aI need to look at what is coming after. I cannot just concentrate on hockey.a The commitment to her future was addressed when she enrolled at Ottawaas Carleton University. Within a storied profession with the Carleton Ravens (in which she was the first European player to serve whilst the Ravens leader), Seiler was invited to the IIHF Womenas High End and Development camp in Bratislava, Slovakia. Within a project to help improve the degree of play among less competitive nations, Seiler was one of many players invited to participate at the camp during July 2011. Even though Seiler hurt her leg at the camp, she still reflected on the ability being an important one. aIt was a good experience. It had been good to see all of the people, wherever they were from. Everybody else worked together and tried to have better. I really hope you will have more chances like this for different players.a Since graduating from Carleton University, the city of Ottawa no longer includes a franchise in the current Canadian Womenas Hockey League. aI wish I really could perform another year here if we had a CWHL team.a Even though opportunity to compete in a elite league again wasn't offered to her for 2012-13, she managed to find an to compete in a very competitive league, aI play for the Ottawa Ice Cats at the AA degree, and so I am still getting my activities in.a Seiler kept on with the Ravens during the 2012-13 year, on the staff of head coach Shelley Coolidge, since the conditioning coach. aI played three years for Shelley Coolidge and she was an effect within my job for several years.a The ability to play the Ravens as an associate of the German national team on March 31 is really a special one for Seiler, aI have mixed feelings for certain. It will be very special for me. I am a bit nervous. I played for Carleton for five years.a Victoria Gouge, an alternative leader with the Ravens is very excited to see Seiler represent Germany in the town she now calls home. aWe are so excited. She is a regular person. She has everyone else listens and a great slap shot to her.a Kelsey Vander Veen, a graduating player with the Ravens recalls former teammate Seiler as an exceptional leader. aSeals (her nickname with the Ravens) was on all of us the most effective leader we ever endured. She's an influence wherever she goes. We are extra pleased with her and excited that she's playing in the Womenas Worlds.a First hand was obtained by aall quotes unless otherwise indicateda
