Newcastle United fan Barry Rogerson targeted the right hook at a police horse named Bud during abuse following his team's 3-0 loss to loathed local rivals Sunderland on Sunday. The 45-year-old has told the Daily Mail after his address and name were posted on the web by animal rights activists he's now residing in fear. He says the video of him that's been watched around the world is misleading, and that he just hit out in panic after the horse was spooked by way of a firecracker and charged at him. "At first I tried to obtain him from me with my left hand and then I punched him with my right," Rogerson said. "It was pure panic. In my opinion it made contact with the horse. WATCH THE EVENT BELOW "It was an instant response. The horse just came towards me and I reacted stupidly. "I apologise for this a' I did so perhaps not really venture out to attack a horse. I really like animals. I have got three puppies and a fishpond." The horse was not wounded in the episode. Rogerson explained the scarf he wore across his face was not there as an try to hide his personality, but because a filling had dropped out of a front tooth.
